Our letter to you...

Dear Friends and Family,

What an incredible, surprising, life-altering, God-led year the Gordoas have had! Transition has never been a favorite word for me, but I know change is necessary to go from one level to the next in the Kingdom of God. Frank, Cross, & I are in the process of moving to Grand Island, NE to pastor Abundant Life Church and we are so humbled by this opportunity! Cross is finishing his last year of high school and colleges are working hard to recruit him for their fall soccer line up! But first, there are major plans for missions this summer that we want to share with those of you who have partnered with us as we “go into all the world and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ!”

With your prayers and financial gifts last year, Cross and I joined approximately 100 other people traveling to Nebraska, New Mexico, Texas, & Kentucky! We helped facilitate 10 children’s camps, hosting multiple youth and adult services and coordinating and distributing a large truck load of Amazon products to the Navajo Indian Reservation in Gallup, NM! We are ecstatic about more opportunities and open doors for ministry in 2023!  We are returning to help 7 previously established camps and traveling to 2 new churches who have never had a camp like this in their own community! And we are so excited to announce our first trip to the nation of Nicaragua! God is truly amazing!

2023 trips include:

  • Kearney, NE–June 10-17

  • Amarillo, TX–June 18-23

  • Navajo Nation, Gallup, NM–June 24-July 1

  • Caye Caulker, Belize–July 1-8

  • Grand Island, NE–July 8-15

  • Managua, Nicaragua–July 15-23

  • Waterford, Ireland–July 27-Aug. 5

  • Fivemiletown, Northern Ireland-Aug. 5-14

The 2 camps we did in Ireland at the end of last summer were spectacular! Relationships were formed, lives were changed, and we can’t wait to go back! Belize, is of course, special in our hearts and working with Pastor Oscar and his church is always an honor! The excitement I have in my spirit about camp in Nicaragua is contagious! I can’t describe how much I already LOVE these pastors and the ministry in Managua! It will be our first camp that is entirely in Spanish! What an adventure!

I will be leading the teams on every trip this summer. Frank will be able to participate as well in several camps, but his focus this summer will be primarily on “holding down the fort (the church in Grand Island)” as Cross and I travel with each team. We will, of course, host our annual camp in Dumas, June 5-9, where we are expecting over 500 children. The passion in our hearts has only grown year after year! I will fill the role of camp administrator at each location while Cross will help in running activity stations and leading teams.

Would you be willing to be a part of this vision?  We are currently raising $14,500 to cover transportation, lodging, and food for BOTH of us for all trips including international airfare! We need people like you who will partner with us and our team so we can meet our ministry goals. You can support us by praying for us and our team as we prepare and as we minister in all nine locations where we are expecting over 1,500 children! If you would like to support us through a monetary donation, please make checks payable to Cities4Kids and send with the enclosed card to Cities4Kids, P.O. Box 1492, Dumas, TX 79029.  Or you can go to GordoaMissions.com to give electronically and track our progress. All donations received by Cities4Kids will go toward project expenses. Your giving is tax deductible.

As always, I am deeply moved by the support of our partners and the confidence you place in us when you pray for us and give towards each trip! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for seeking God about your participation this year! Every dollar given will make a difference in the lives of children and families around the globe! We look forward to hearing from you soon!

God bless you!

Teresa & Cross
